Biting The Bullet

Hey, Guys

OK, I've decided I will write a series along with the blog. I'm going to use a throwaway pen name as someone suggested earlier.

More details to follow and in the next post, we'll take a look at some methods of decicing what to write (writing to the market).

  2. Now this is absolutely great news.

I'm just about ready to kick off a series. I'll be able to learn and make adjustments as I go along. I'm also pretty sure I'll hold off till I see that next post.

Do you write any stand-alone stories? I've been writing some short stories simply because I want to. I sell a very small handful each month. I'm beginning to think it's not worth the effort--unless there's a cumulative sales effect at some point. Any thoughts on this?

    Thanks,
    WyattM

P.S.: You should have a tip jar here.

Yes, I write standalone stories. There's even one under my own name on Amazon ('The Curse of Casamostro').

I enjoy writing standalones but stories is a series sell much better (in my experience). That said, it's important to write what keeps you interested and motivated as a writer. If it interests you, it will probably interest some readers too.

    2. Thanks, TW.

I've got one or two more stories that I just have to get out of me--and then it's on to the series.

Looking forward to what lies ahead here.
